IT Systems Engineer by day - Investor, Business owner, Advisor & lifetime learner by night.

I've spent the last 12 years honing skills in various technical roles, including being sought out for a stint as the IT manager in the UK for one of New Zealand's most well known companies in 2017, before returning to NZ to move into a systems engineer role to sharpen up my technical skills that much more over the last few years, having the chance to work with a diverse group of customers from Manufacturing, Food, Construction, Law, Accounting & everything in between.

Outside of that, I'm a keen investor and run my own company, Aberrant Capital. I've been investing religiously in Kiwi companies 0-5 years old looking to do things differently. Over the last 6 years I have had many success (As well the occasional failure to learn from) having seen and learned so much in business being involved at an investor level in a diversified portfolio at various growth stages.

Looking into the future, I am on the look out to merge my business\investment knowledge with IT to really kickstart and fuel the growth of business here in NZ, to work with them to challenge the status quo with the goal to make the most of what technology has to offer. If you're reading this and think I can be valuable to you, weather you're just starting out or an already established business, please reach out on LinkedIn!

As of 2022, I am now a member of the institute of directors. Outside of keeping in the know of obligations as a director of my own company, I am looking to learn and upskill to position myself where I can add value with IT advisory at a board level - this may be a few years down the line, but I'm a firm believer on educating today so I can implement tomorrow.
